Turmeric is mainly known as a digestive spice, as is the clove. Thanks to the active ingredient curcumin, it also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant features. Cat’s claw is a tropical plant which originates in South America and was already used as a medicinal plant by the Incas. In medicine, it is mainly used to strengthen the immune system, for autoimmune diseases and rheumatoid arthritis. Most impressive is its scientifically proven ability to repair DNA damage. An Irish research group demonstrated the beneficial effects of vitamin D in relation to COVID-19.
Together, cat’s claw, turmeric and cloves, the latter two of which have been used in European naturopathy since the Middle Ages, have a particularly health-promoting and healing effect. In combination with vitamin C and vitamin D, all substances strengthen the immune system effectively and sustainably.
